Luis Guti\u00e9rrez, the critic in charge of rating the wines from Spain and South America, scored all of the wines presented at 90 points.<\/p>\n<p>Guti\u00e9rrez recognized the distinctive quality, consistency and character of Arboleda wines, mentioning the Aconcagua Costa appellation and its slate soils several times in his report.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201c\u2026Arboleda wines are sourced from plots closer to the sea in search of mineral, austere wines, always bone dry and sometimes strict (\u2026) that are very apt for the table.\u201d<strong>.-Luis Guti\u00e9rrez, \u201cChile: Think Outside the Box,\u201d 31 Dec\u201915.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Luis Guti\u00e9rrez\u2019s main comments were:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">90 pts.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Cabernet Sauvignon 2013\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Valle de Aconcagua<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em>\u201cThis is juicy with good nerve and firm tannins within the austere but never aggressive style of Arboleda. A very pleasant Cabernet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\"><br \/>\n90 pts.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Carmenere\u00a02013\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Valle de Aconcagua<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em>\u201cThe 2013 Carmenere feels fresh without being green; it\u2019s balsamic and spicy with some notes of tobacco leaf. (\u2026) This is a more elegant vintage with good acidity and some grainy tannins, soft and fresh.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\"><br \/>\n90 pts.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Pinot Noir 2014\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Aconcagua Costa<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em>\u201cVery tasty Pinot that might make you think of Burgundy more than Chile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\"><br \/>\n90 pts.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Sauvignon Blanc 2015\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Aconcagua Costa<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em>\u201cIt has high acidity and a subdued minerality, and ends quite dry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\"><br \/>\n90 pts.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Chardonnay 2014\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #a7944e;\">Aconcagua Costa<\/span><br \/>\n<\/em>\u201cThe nose has some aromas of nuts, hay and straw over a core of white fruit.
